Commissioning Management


By appointing Commtech as a commissioning manager, clients and project management teams can assure themselves that when a building is handed over, all plant and services will operate to recognised standards and within agreed design parameters.

Commtech's involvement at an early stage ensures that all facilities are in place for the proper commissioning of building services. By centralising control in Commtech's hands, we become the focal point for any commissioning or test related problem and those problems will be identified quickly and solutions found without delay. The Commissioning Management function, managed by Marcel Raven and Bill Whillock, not only covers the inspection and testing of individual systems but also the witnessing of integration testing at project completion. All pressure tests, flushing and chemical cleaning, balancing and performance tests are witnessed to ensure compliance with required standards.

The verification and organisation of environmental tests and equipment load tests, the collation of all documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals and the organisation of the final demonstration tests to the statutory authorities, also fall within the commissioning manager's remit.

By alleviating potential problems which, left unchecked, could otherwise bring a project to a virtual standstill, Commtech has demonstrated how effective commissioning management reinforces the professionalism and potency of the project management team.
